Starting January 02, 2012, ABTC - Davao City

1. Receives and keeps the vaccine and ERIG supply from DOH and dispenses for free as directed:

a. Vaccine: The 1st dose and by intradermal (ID) route.

b. ERIG: 1 vial per patient.

2. Administers passive immunization (RIG infiltration).

3. Issues identification (ID) paper for completion of primary immunization and/ or booster:

a. With a 1x1 photo and an official receipt number of the

injection fee.

b. Must be presented on the next consultaton for an animal

bite here or abroad.

Section 11. PENALTIES:

1. Pet owners who fail or refuse to have their dog registered & immunized against rabies shall be punished by a fine of Php 2000.

2. Pet owners who refuse to have their dog vaccinated against rabies shall be liable to pay for the vaccination of both the dog & the individuals bitten by their dog.

3. Pet owners who refuse to have their dog put under observation after it has bitten an individual shall be meted a fine of Php 10,000.

4. Pet owners who refuse to have their dog put under person bitten by their dog shall be meted a fine of Php 25,000.

5. Pet owners who refuse to put leash on their dogs when brought outside the house shall be meted a fine of Php 500/ incident.

6. An impounded dog shall be released to its owner upon payment of a fine of not < Php 500 but not > Php 1000.

7. Any person found guilty of trading dog for meat shall be fined not < Php 5,000/dog & subjected to imprisonment for 1- 4 yrs.

8. Any person found guilty of using electrocution as a method of euthanasia shall be fined not < Php 5,000.00/act & subject to imprisonment for 1- 4 yrs.

9. If the violation is committed by an alien, he or she shall be immediately deported after service of sentence without any further proceedings.
